Telegram has added a new function that allows users to send and receive bitcoin payments

Telegram, one of the most popular instant messaging apps, has added additional capabilities to its platform. A new crypto payments function for the Blackchain messaging app has been launched as a result of this new breakthrough. This function lets users to transmit Toncoins of cryptocurrency to other Telegram users for no additional cost. Continue reading to learn more about this.

Telegram, which has about 550 million users, previously backed out of plans for its own cryptocurrency after being sued by the Australian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Telegram was sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2019 after raising $1.7 billion to build its cryptocurrency, which the SEC deemed an unlawful token sale. Telegram eventually agreed to pay the SEC a fine and restore the money to the investors. Since then, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has been striving to establish a new spin-off cryptocurrency, the Token Coin, that is transparent and unrelated to Telegram. As a result, Telegram now accepts cryptocurrency payments, according to the article.

The TON Foundation stated, "We intend this capability in Telegram to extend to customer's company payments so that customers can easily access all sorts of services by paying Toncoin via bots in the Telegram app." "You no longer have to enter huge or long wallet addresses and wait for confirmations with this new service recently accessible on Telegram," the Foundation stated in a tweet introducing the functionality.
