The movie with "Arabic Koothu ..." is easier for everyone to connect with than the movie where Vijay is the hero.
These are the days when it is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The song in the movie had a swing before its release as if it had somehow hit the lottery. The film became a publicity stunt..no need for another publicity stunt.
Okay ... what's in the movie so far?
Telling from the beginning ... The main story is how a spy trapped in a shopping mall in Chennai was captured by the terrorists and how he managed to save the hostages and put an end to the terrorists.
Saying this outline and bringing it to more theaters means that the makers have faith in their making.
And does that belief stand? Did the movie stand out? Let's see ..
Serious in terms of story. But the characters do not behave seriously. A kind of action movie driven by Fars comedy. Pictures come in this genre but capturing a big star is an adventure.
It is natural to expect a mass hero movie like Vijay which means serious action, romance, songs, hero buildup..etc. But if you experiment differently the result may not come as expected.
It would be safe to make the same movie in the "Varun Doctor" type with a mid range hero but the chances of getting stuck with a bigger star are high.
The director has decided not to look for logic in the story at all, but to tune the mind to watch the action movie but in the comedy angle. Somehow ... Terrorists plot to hijack a shopping mall to release an international Pakistani militant in Tihar Jail. But first he shows the jailed militant with a lot of buildup in a low-angle shot. Tira realizes when he is released that he is a dwarf. Seriousness naturally diminishes with this unexpected scene. There are a lot of similar ones.
The hero specializes in arranging fighter jet planes at the time without anyone's permission, and performing stunts a few light years away from reliability. Terrorists are raining bullets but none of Machuki can hit the hero. The same goes for our hero shooting randomly but the terrorists fall to the ground. Stunts like this have been boring to look at for decades but this is not to be missed in the Forsyth narration.
80% of the story takes place in the shopping mall itself. For a big star movie ... minus something like the one mentioned above.
The background score is not great big. All other technical values are fine.
All of the VTV Ganesh dialogues were not as great but were able to make as many laughs as possible. Selvaraghavan also appeared in a memorable role for a while.
Pooja Hegde is a character who has no real importance. Nothing was used except for two songs. There are only two songs in the movie.
No matter how the story is written, it is a film that decides that the treatment should be a comedy. The formula did not follow that the songs should be commercial as well.
Audiences with a B, C mind set, children will love this movie. The rest of the audience, however, broke their silence.
Bottom line: Forces comedy
